Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Beatrice Gruendler leads the “Kalīla and Dimna–AnonymClassic/ALC” and the “kalimat” project at Freie Universität Berlin. With past appointments at Yale and Harvard, her work has notably advanced Arabic philology, manuscript studies, and digital humanities. She also serves on several international advisory boards, seamlessly integrating traditional philological inquiry with modern digital approaches.
