Joudy Sido Bozan is the software developer and website designer of the Living Handbook kalimat. She specializes in the representation of Arabic language and knowledge systems within digital humanities infrastructures. Her work centers on developing multilingual research environments, particularly through the bilingual Arabic-English Living Handbook kalimat, where she contributes to software development, interface design, editorial workflows, and sustainable data practices using the Open Encyclopedia System (OES). She is particularly interested in the challenges of modeling, processing, and publishing Arabic script in digital contexts, advocating for more inclusive and technically robust approaches to non-Latin data.
Alongside her institutional work, she contributes to the Berlin University Alliance project “Closing the Gap in Non-Latin Script Data II,” where she develops AI-driven tools for evaluating research sustainability. With a background in Arabic Studies and Contemporary Arabic Studies, her interdisciplinary work bridges language, technology, and cultural analysis in the Arab world.
